Lenses

You will find three Java Applets on this page dealing with lenses. The first Applet contains a single source and lens. The second Applet contains a pair of lenses. Finally, the third Applet conains four lenses and is useful for studying optical instruments such as microscopes and telescopes. You will find a pair of text boxes, per lens, underneath each Applet. The boxes in the upper rows control focal length of a given lens. The text boxes on the bottom rows control the positions of the lenses. Click the submit button(s) once you have entered the appropriate values (please do not use the enter or return keys).
